Curriculum vitae

Alec Martin

Delivery, innovation and organisational change

Delivery and innovation leader with more than 12 years across technology operations, DevOps/SRE, Agile delivery and organisational change.

I lead difficult work from ambiguity to adoption: coordinating teams around complex delivery, improving the systems through which work moves and shaping practical interventions with users and subject-matter experts.

My foundation is delivery. I combine it with technical literacy, organisational judgement and AI-assisted development to make ideas tangible, test them in practice and carry the strongest into use. I am development-aware rather than a software engineer, able to interrogate technical choices and work credibly with specialists.

Selected impact

Delivery, change and innovation carried into practice.

01

Complex platform delivery

Selected by an SVP to strengthen coordination across a business-critical data-platform initiative spanning five teams, three departments and an external technology agency; surfaced dependencies, established ownership and supported delivery through production and user onboarding.

02

Agile Community of Practice

Revived and now lead a previously inactive practitioner community, establishing a focused core and developing a platform for cultural change, capability development and practical innovation.

03

ClearView

Conceived and built a Jira-integrated delivery-intelligence application that exposed overcommitment and weak planning assumptions, contributing to delivery against commitment rising from approximately 50% to consistently above 80%.

04

Kanban change

Led two teams from Scrum to Kanban and supported three others, adapting roles, WIP controls, flow policies and cadences to strengthen ownership and delivery flow. Kanban Board Steward extended that work with concise, evidence-led reporting.

05

Waterline

Conceived and built a reflection tool in response to an HR-sponsored question about burnout and organisational change. Pilot feedback has been unanimous: respondents said it helped them see something differently and that they would use it again. Backed by HR and wellness for rollout.

06

Alignment Lab

Created a web application that turns team-purpose and values facilitation into reusable remote exercise paths. Championed by Training and Development and now a permanent offering on the company L&D platform.
